Vice Provost for Information Technology
Kevin Morooney, Vice Provost, CIO
Penn State's Information Technology Services ensures that faculty, students, and staff have the information technology tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out the University's Mission. We provide the infrastructure that enables members of the Penn State family to make maximum use of the appropriate information technology tools in their learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities. We provide the cost-effective information technology resources required to support continuous improvement in the University's ability to fulfill its diverse mission. Also see welcome message.
Associate Vice Provost for Information Technology
John Harwood, Associate Vice Provost / Deputy CIO
Leads the activities of Emerging Technologies, Financial Services, Human Resources, and IT Communications.
Emerging Technologies
Team Leaders: Phil Devan, Jim Leous, Renee Shuey, Al Williams
Investigates IT technologies, architectures and strategies that are important to Penn State's information technology development and infrastructure. Reports the results of investigations, and where appropriate, prototypes solutions. Staff dialogue with peers on a regular basis to become aware of their respective needs and concerns.
ITS Financial Services
Pam Fuller, Senior Financial Advisor
Provides budget and financial services, and an overall ITS strategic financial perspective to theVice Provost's office. Supervises the centralized ITS Financial Support Staff and provides training, mentoring and professional development opportunities for ITS Unit Financial Advisors.
IT Communications
Marcus P. Robinson, Director of IT Communications
IT Communications connects people with information and services, showcases the positive impact IT has on people’s lives at the University and beyond, encourages IT community, highlights the community’s talented and passionate technologists, and facilitates partnerships that strengthen IT’s ability to support the University.
ITS Human Resources
Paul Peworchik, Director
Interfaces with OHR for employee concerns such as recruitment, retention, benefits, development and mediation. Coordinates facilities and acts as Safety Officer for Information Technology Services. Coordinates desktop support for Vice Provost's office. Acts as Old Main LAN administrator.
Administrative Support
Tracy Leitzel
Provides support for Vice Provost's office, including phone coverage, calendars, travel arrangements and forms processing.
