Airline Ticket Receipts

Since moving to a paperless receipt process, Travel Services has had comments from some users that the Travel Expense Receipt is a very lengthy receipt, which can be several pages long due to the fact that Viewtrip includes the entire itinerary in this receipt. The Travel Expense Receipt includes the agency fee, though, which is important because it does not show up in any other receipt, and it is needed for the purchasing card resolution.

Galileo/Viewtrip is aware of these two issues and is working very hard to make programming modifications to the tool that will incorporate the agency fee with the receipt and allow the user to select a receipt with or without the itinerary included.

In the meantime, we have been advised to use the priced e-mail itinerary for the purchasing card receipt which the person who initiated/booked the airfare receives. It is that person’s responsibility to forward the priced itinerary to the Purchasing Card Holder, if they are not one in the same.
