Facebook users can now search online library collections such as The CAT, the Proquest database, and more, via a new University Libraries Facebook application available at http://apps.facebook.com/psulibrary/ online. The application - which enables users to ask librarians questions digitally and includes links to e-resources and course reserves - was jointly developed by Information Technology Services (ITS) and University Libraries. To date, more than 1,300 people have added the application to their Facebook profiles since it premiered at the Libraries' Open House last fall. Developers plan to add more extensive social and collaborative components to the application in the future. Comments and suggestions are welcome and can be posted to the application's wall or sent by e-mail to erimland@psu.edu.
