Web Accessibility Seminar to Take Place April 2nd

An upcoming free event, "Access to All: Create Accessible Courses and Web Pages," is available to faculty, instructors, Web developers, instructional designers, administrators, students, and others involved in online course and Web design. This event is sponsored by Penn State's Office for Disability Services, Information Technology Services, and the University Libraries' Library Services for Persons with Disabilities, as well as the Rochester Institute for Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Participants will have the opportunity to join the seminar in 101 Foster Auditorium, Pattee Library on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or connect online via Adobe Connect from their desktops at: http://breeze.psu.edu/atdemo. Featured speakers include: Christian Vinten-Johansen, an expert on online accessibility issues at ITS Teaching and Learning with Technology; Richard Fasse, assistant director of Online Learning at RIT and manager of the Instructional Design group; Joeann Humbert, director of Online Learning at RIT; and David Cunningham, staff member at Pittsburgh's Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services.
