The Information Technology Services (ITS) Workflow team is pleased to announce that the Undergraduate Education Travel Request (UGTR) online Workflow form is now available to users in the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Architecture (at University Park) and at Penn State's New Kensington campus.
Individuals at these locations may access the UGTR online Workflow form at: https://es.ais.psu.edu/PAWS. The online UGTR form will take the place of the old “fill and print” form, which is still available on the Undergraduate Education Web site for those who are not in a location where Workflow is currently active.
The Undergraduate Education Travel Request (UGTR) form is the first of many online forms, which will be integrated into Penn State's new Workflow System. While the UGTR form is currently only available for users at the three specific locations listed above, future announcements regarding University-wide release of this and other Workflow forms will be made in Fall 2008.
Workflow is Penn State's Web-based hosting system for University academic, administrative, and financial management processes, especially those involving review and approval needs. Workflow is a strategic initiative being developed by ITS at Penn State, and focuses on improving business practices by automating and streamlining the required routing and approval steps.
Workflow is accessed through PAWS (Penn State Administrative Web Suite) and requires a valid Penn State Access Account ID. PAWS is now available as a single launch point for a diverse collection of administrative-type functions and applications. Rather than remembering a variety of Web site addresses, a user simply needs to remember PAWS — which eventually will include all of Penn State's major administrative functions (such as submitting a travel reimbursement, updating an attendance record, and submitting an electronic form to the Workflow System, etc.).
