The User Service Conference 2008 will be held Monday, May 12, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel at University Park.

This annual conference is designed for staff who provide IT support to departments, colleges, campuses, and offices. Participants will attend educational sessions, interact with their colleagues, and enhance their professional development.

In keeping with this year's theme, "Communicate, Collaborate, and Expand Your Horizons," the conference will offer twelve customer service, management, and technical sessions on topics such as network and data security, records management, the new PASS, business continuity, and collaboration tools. Ken Forstmeier, senior director of Consulting and Support Services, Information Technology Services, will present the keynote address. New at this year's conference is a fourth break-out for "Birds of a Feather" sessions where attendees can meet and discuss a topic of interest with other attendees. Poster and vendor displays of interest to IT professionals will also be available throughout the day. Continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served as part of the $70 conference registration fee.
