Penn State now requires all Penn State Access Account owners to change their passwords annually. This requirement was instituted to increase the personal security of Penn State community members and to help protect business, research and academic resources throughout the University.
Although all students, faculty and staff must change their Access Account passwords annually, passwords can be changed more frequently, and at any time, for higher security. You can check your password expiration date for the upcoming year online. You will receive reminders to change your password prior to its expiration date. ITS strongly encourages you to change your password before it expires, in order to avoid disruption to your access to University systems and services.
Over the past year, 115,000 Access Account holders have changed their passwords, resulting in a more secure computing environment throughout the University community. Follow the links below for additional information or assistance.
When you accept a Penn State Access Account, you are agreeing to abide by University Policy on Computer and Network Security and the ITS Password Policy.
You should never share your password with anyone, even your closest relative or friend. Why?
