- Internet Access Software can be downloaded at no cost; see Your Guide to IT at Penn State for instructions.
- Open Source Software - Open Source Mirror Site found at ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu/pub/ provides access to various large Open Source packages including Linux distributions, BSD distributions, the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN), Sun freeware, and more.
- Oracle Collaboration Suite Calendar - a calendaring and scheduling client that allows users to create meetings, events and compare schedules with others using the group agenda, as well as manage the scheduling and use of high-demand resources such as conference rooms and equipment.
- Penn State's Computer Store - offers computer hardware, software, accessories, free professional consulting and advice on purchasing questions.
- SAS Software - Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), available through the Penn State Computer Store.
- Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) File Backup and Archive Server is available to faculty, staff, and departments.
- UNIX/Linux Software can be purchased at reduced prices.
