What and where is IT?
bullet IT stands for Information Technology, and it's everywhere! binocularlion.jpg
bullet IT supports computers and networks in classrooms, student computing labs, and residence halls.
bullet IT makes wired and cellular phone services possible.
bullet IT enables everyone to connect to local networks and the World Wide Web, and access e-mail, ANGEL, eLion, libraries, the Penn State Portal, the search engine, Web space, online directories, Penn State's information for students, colleges and campuses, and online resources all over the world.
bullet IT makes cable TV, satellite transmissions, and other video services possible.
bullet ITS works to ensure that faculty, students, and staff have the IT tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out Penn State's mission.
