Lab Software and Students at Starbucks: New Directions
Learn how Remote Applications, a feature of Microsoft Windows Server, might be used by anyone with an Internet connection and Penn State Access Account.

With the release of Windows Server 2008, Microsoft included a new feature called Remote Applications. With this model, the end user is shown an application window with only the requested program running from the server. All of the applications are running from University owned hardware, using University owned licenses, and are able to be accessed by anyone with an Internet connection and a Penn State access account.
