The ITS event, held at the HUB-Robeson Center on Wednesday October 12, 2005, offered interactive exhibits, breakout sessions, and presentations designed to help educate Penn State students, faculty and staff about digital identity management and navigating the Internet safely.
The Event featured welcoming remarks by President Graham Spanier, security seminars featuring national speakers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Cornell Policy and Law Program, Ohio State University Security Operations, and Penn State's Security Operations and Services, a unit of Information Technology Services. In addition, breakout sessions provided an in-depth focus on topics advertised at Event exhibits. These are now available for viewing.
At the expo portion of the Event held in Alumni Hall at the HUB, participants enjoyed exhibits, refreshments, and high-tech demos, while exploring a variety of gadgets and digital identity exhibits on wireless computing, secure wireless networks, copyright, cyber-plagiarism, Napster, password management, digital library resources, LionShare, identity fraud, and computer security.
