About

ITS Training Services provides learning opportunities on many of the technology applications and tools that affect our work and lives at Penn State. The goal of this group is to facilitate teaching and learning with technology to enhance the productivity and efficiency of Penn State's work force, as well as to provide professional and personal development opportunities to Penn State students, faculty, and staff.

History & Future

ITS Training Services started out as one person delivering training to faculty. We've grown and changed in many ways. In fact, our largest customer base has been staff for a number of years (with graduate students coming in a close second). Through partnerships and technology we've adapted our services to provide increasing value for the Penn State community. Delivering quality, low-cost or free training in the classroom has always been a priority. Now we are able to facilitate additional training opportunities through partnerships with other trainers, departments, and vendors; provide online training in the form of live and recorded sessions; and support the learner beyond the classroom learning experience through online communities, such as the technology training community. In the future, we plan to continue to strengthen relationships and build new ones, as well as provide expanded 24/7 online options for faculty, staff, and students who value this convenient method of learning.
