Free Sun™ Microsystems Online Training
Penn State has a license for online Sun™ Learning Center tutorials.

To access these tutorials, you will be asked to complete an online application and create a Sun™ User ID and Password. It is in your best interest to make your Sun User ID and password distinctly different from your Penn State Access Account userid and password.
Company ID
You must include your Company ID on the online application. Penn State has a specific Company ID. It is included in the First Time User Information (detailed below). You must have a Penn State Access Account userid and password to obtain the Penn State Company ID. By logging in to this site, you agree to keep the Company ID confidential. Distribution to users not affiliated with Penn State is strictly prohibited.
Cost
The online Sun™ Learning Center tutorials are free to all Penn State students, faculty and staff, when the Penn State Company ID is used.
Requirements
These tutorials are Web-based. You will need an Internet connection, Web browser, Flash player, and your Sun™ User ID and Password to access the tutorials.
First Time User Information
Complete the online application at https://sailearningconnection.skillport.com
- Click the register button and fill out the application.
- Your account password should be different from your Penn State access account password.
- Enter the Program Name and Program ID: refer to https://wikispaces.psu.edu/display/ITPro/Sun+tutorials for required details.
- Enter the company name: "SAI-Pennsylvania State University, University Park"
Add courses to your plan
- For detailed information on adding "Learning Events" to your plan, click on the link under "My Plan". Otherwise, click "Catalog" from the top menu.
- You can add a top level catalog, or select a catalog and granularly add sub-components.
- You can optionally set goals for completion and reminders for using the modules.
